August 7 Sherwood Saturday Market

The Sherwood Saturday Market is open this Saturday from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm!

~~Bruce Maplethorpe with Farmers Insurance Group - Our business of the week is Bruce Maplethorpe with Farmers Insurance Group. Bruce has been with Farmers Insurance for 31 years and has been a resident of Sherwood since 1962. He specializes in auto and homeowners insurance. You can find him in Old Town Sherwood at 22595 SW Pine Street, right across from city hall and the library. On the web:

~~Whatz Poppin - Our vendor of the week is Whatz Poppin. With 8 different flavors like their famous Kettle Corn, Snikerdoodle, and Nacho Cheese there is one for everyone! You can't miss them, they are right in the middle of the market with their corn hats!

~~Ross Vineyards - Last week the Walla Walla sweet onions that we bought directly from the farmer were a hit and we will continue to bring them as long as they last. Great price at 50 cents each! Also popular were the zucchini flowers with a free recipe and Sue would enjoy talking to anyone about cooking them. A great way to use up all those extra flowers! Sue is also a Family Food Educator (formerly called Master Food Preserver) with Clackamas County and she would be glad to share information on classes or answer questions regarding food preservation from tuna to fruit and vegetables.

There are some new products and scents with di Orto. Liquid soap/body gels are available in lemon verbena and coconut and there is a new relaxing bath bag available. We will continue our hand washing with the sugar scrubs. Coconut was a hit last week!

~~Nuts About Berries - New this week: purple beans and yellow wax beans; zucchini and summer squash; armenian, lemon and pickling and cucumbers; Japanese eggplant; candy and Sungold tomatoes; blackberries and yellow transparent apples for the best apple sauce.

~~Market Bags! - Don't forget to take a look at our resusable, washable, attractive market bags available for purchase for just $2! With a $1 coupon inside! Pick up your Sherwood Saturday Market shopping bag at the Rainy Day Specialtees booth (aka Erin's Creations).
